ABBA永远是一支让人感觉幸福的乐队，它所传达的快乐是经久不衰的是不会随着时间的流逝而消失的。如果仅仅以数字来衡量一个乐队的话，那么除了甲克虫外，就是ABBA了。ABBA是音乐历史上第二支拥有连续三首冠军单曲的乐队，他们在音乐史上所取得的成就在七十年代与八十年代初期一时间无人能随其左右。

ABBA成立于1973年，乐队名字各取自于其四名乐队成员的姓名字头，他们分别是Benny Andersson、Bjorn Ulvaeus、Agenetha Faltskog、Anni-Frid Lyngstad，而更巧的是这两男两女又是两对夫妇，这样的组合在合作无不透着各种默契。基本上乐队的所有歌曲均是由之中两位男士来编写，自然演唱任务则由另两位女士来承担了。成立时期是Beatles等乐队淡出乐坛的时候，
1974年他们凭借一曲“Waterloo”（滑铁卢）登上英国流行歌曲排行榜冠军，
之后又有多首热门单曲，象“Dancing Queen”（舞后）、“Knowing Me,Knowing You”（了解我，了解你）、“Take A Chance On Me”（别放弃机会）、“The Winner Takes It All”（赢家全收）、 “S.O.S”、“Fernando”（费尔南多）、“One Nighe In Bankok”（曼谷之夜）及“I Have A Dream”（我有个梦）等。ABBA是我们目前所知道的乐队中最伟大的单曲乐队，在他们活跃在歌坛的那一段时间里，他们几乎创作演唱每一首歌曲都会红得不得了，立即会风靡整个欧洲并且在世界各地广为流传，不知其数的一、二、三、四流歌手无数遍地翻唱他们的歌曲，也都会捧红自己，这其中自然也包括许多的华语歌手。
