Singapore Penal Code - Criminal Defamation 刑事诽谤

诽谤有刑事与民事之分，对严重的刑事诽谤，警方是可以介入的。刑事诽谤的十个例外包括Public conduct of public servants，Merits of a public performance等，所以李光耀作为公职人员较难引用这项法律。李叶明不是政府官员。

Defamation – A person criminally defames another person when he or she, by words either spoken or intended to be read, or by signs, or by visible representations, makes or publishes any imputation concerning the other person, intending to harm, or knowing or having reason to believe that such imputation will harm, the reputation of such person.[111] An imputation harms a person’s reputation if it directly or indirectly, in the estimation of others, lowers the moral or intellectual character of that person, or lowers the character of that person in respect of his or her caste or calling, or lowers the credit of that person, or causes it to be believed that the body of that person is in a loathsome state, or in a state generally considered as disgraceful.



我相信警方找到对方后，会给个警告或罚款了事。李叶明可以在民事上要求对方作个公开道歉就行了，不要让大众感到得理不饶人。
