谢惠泉在参观穆扎希丁回教堂后受访时表示，虽然他在致词时感谢大家过去13年来给予他的支持，但是这并不表示他不会参选。他笑说：“感谢并不等于说再见……，等到提名日当天，大家自然就会知道我到底会不会继续参选。”
Chay Wai Chuen (born 1950) is a former Member of Parliament in Singapore. He is a former member of the People's Action Party (PAP), representing the [Brickworks] and Tanjong Pagar Group Representation Constituency, and is now the High Commissioner of Singapore to Sri Lanka.
