If i were you, I will take the offer. Normally for your case, housing allowance is enough for private condo, that is considered quite good (even is not the best)in sg.

Of course , if tax in both sg and us, then that is really another story as ppl above mentioned.(but I believe it is still not a bad offer even after tax compare to people like me struggling so many yrs here :) )
