Unlike western countries, Singapore is a small country with closely-knitted communities with living blocks close to MRT, Plaza, etc. Cars are not necessities unlike western countries where houses are widely scattered and sprawled withou much public transports. Living conditions there should be more spacious, quieter, idyllic, but may be a bit rural and lack of liveliness for some people. The life styles are quite different up to each person's preference. Maybe a better living condition is somewhere in-between, but with influx of foreigner in recent years, Sinapore appears a bit too crowded now causing quite some disquiets among local Singaporeans.
