no. but, gpa, sat act determines

in a large part whether the students can get a decent education (not necessarily ivy leagues). If a person has not learned to work hard in his young age, i doubt he can automatically learn this after growing up. You  can list many successful people doing this, but in large, those are truly genius, as most others will be average people with average career.
