To me, the humiliating moment is the turning point. Something happened at my subconscious level which forced me to save myself from further losing my dignity.

The force is so powerful. It pushed me forward in one direction and I never looked back.

For you, you need to get an explicit closure from him face to face. You have to do something which will make him do something to you either inappropriate or humiliating to you. Maybe, then you will quickly move on. You never know.
