You are right it is a personal choice. I am NOT forcing my belief to anybody else. What I try to say is, we Chinese are always 劝和不劝离. If a guy thinks he can get away with mistakes without consequence,he is more likely to do it again. For example, let us say if I know when I rob a bank and get caught, all I have to apologize profusely and promise I wouldn't do it again but I can keep the money, I would do it. But if I know when I rob a bank and get caught and have to go jail for a long time, I probably won't do it.
You have to draw a line somewhere . . .
