夏日最后的玫瑰 这是夏日最后的玫瑰， 独自绽放着， 所有昔日动人的同伴 都已凋落残逝。 身旁没有同类的花朵， 没有半个玫瑰苞， 映衬她的红润， 分担她的忧愁。 我不会离开孤零零的你， 让你孤单地憔悴， 既然美丽的同伴都已入睡， 去吧！你也和她们一起躺着。 为此，我撒落一些 叶子在花床上 那儿，也是你花园的同伴 无声无息躺着的地方。 不久我也可能追随朋友而去， 当友谊渐逝， 像从灿烂之爱情圈中 掉落的宝石。 当忠诚的友人远去， 所爱的人飞走， 啊！谁还愿留在 这寒冷的世上独自凄凉？
The Last Rose of Summer
'Tis the last rose of summer,
Left blooming alone,
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone.
No flower of her kindred,
No rose bud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes,
Or give sigh for sigh.
I'll not leave thee, thou lone one,
To pine on the stem,
Since the lovely are sleeping,
Go sleep thou with them.
Thus kindly I scatter
Thy leaves o'er the bed
Where thy mates of the garden
Lie scentless and dead.
So soon may I follow,
When friendships decay,
And from Love's shining circle
The gems drop away!
When true hearts lie withered
And fond ones are flown
Oh! who would inhabit
This bleak world alone?
