Apparently LZ and you did not get my meaning. I know it is from a native speaker! Based on my personal experience, that is not an outstanding ref. from a native speaker. 90% of reference from a native speaker I read are just like this: beautiful words.

What I am trying to say is a native speaker can write a better reference letter.

Again it is not about LZ's son; it is about the reference itself.
