This entry is one of the poems and essays, which are tools for a lifetime; every now and then, you hear some words whispered and written down that ring true if you listen. I read this in high school, and it has stuck with me.

He left out the greatest line in that poem... "If you can meet with triumphant and disaster and treat those two impostors just the same."

This wisdom, which is both timeless and powerful, truly inspires me with divine grace and speaks to the source of all things sacred. I always did say to my ex- "Oh?! You think you're a good man? A great man, even? And you have to tell me that, over and over again? And that I'm not what you consider to be "wife material," that I'm "uncouth," and that you're "afraid of me," "too much"...too "yang""...maybe that's because I've never seen a man showing up in my life braver and kinder than me...and it's sad that I've never met a better man than me. A woman."
