勿忘我

 

秋季将临日如梭，道边常遇勿忘我。

别来江上风波多，明月不开往事锁。

 

Forget-me-nots

 

All summer long, forget-me-nots

have been blooming by the roadside

even at the peak of heat.

They brightened my daily commute.

At times, they brought back memories,

some of which are blue, 

some are bright yellow,

much like the colors of the flower.

No matter I like it or not,

it's an unintended consequence

solely due to the name of the flower .

Nature won't take credit nor blame

for its emotional effect or name.
