河上夏思
沙漠顽石山丘，
绿树柔草河流，
急水浅滩孤舟。
雁阳无愁，
人在天涯守候。
Thoughts in Summer on the River
Desert, stubborn boulders, rolling hills,
green trees, soft waterweeds, a river,
rapids, shoals, a lone canoe.
They're carefree, so are geese and Sun.
I'm waiting in a remote city
with all their company.
I still feel lonely.
I learn to swim in my loneliness
or I'll drown.
