Shadow

Shadow

 

I stand up on a meadow at sunrise,

gaze at morning dew in my shadow. 

Within each dew drop I search for moonshine,

that I see every night in your eyes.

I feel your contour curving on the meadow,

and your warmth on my palm from your face. 

Why do you leave me alone with my long long shadow,

let the sun dry and evaporate your last trace?
