窈窕越女草帽中，帽上荷花別樣紅。

荷花雖豔丹青寫，不及越女美天成。

一襲紅衣花相映，兩頰笑靨似春風。

長髮如瀑青黛色，羞煞老夫白頭翁！

Among her straw hats sits the pretty Vietnamese fair
The lotus flowers on the hats exceptionally red
Though red, the flowers are painted with a brush of hair
The beauty of the girl a heavenly gift instead
Her red shirt echoes the lotus blossoms' redness
Her smiling eyes are like the early spring breeze
Her long hair is like a waterfall of blackness
That prevents me, hair grey, from sitting at ease!
