Fuji X100s, a dream come true for strobist?

For almost three years I'm been holding my breath and waiting for something like this. To my surprise it turned out to be a Fuji, not a Sony.

These days I'm been regularly checking Amazon reviews on Fuji X100s, since this camera was released to North America only a few days ago. So far the reviews have been great. I couldn't stand the heat and placed my order after knowing its AF and EVF have been further improved since X100 and manual focus is available as an option. I admit I care less about its compactness, IQ, ISO performance, etc. because I know they are already pretty good.

And then, I came across this: Fuji came up with a leaf shutter design that makes insanely high synch speed possible. This is too big of a deal for all the strobist. It means the real art of throwing only a slight touch of light by flash has become a day to day reality without having to bring along sophisticated and expensive equipement.

Brova to Fuji!

Here is a post from evojim a couple of weeks ago :-)

That is one witty review
