#1 Rhinos. (#1-5: at a private game reserve near Kruger NP.)

#2 Hippos.

#3 团体照。

#4 个人照。

#5 Safari vehicle - since someone asked “看到狮子危险吗?” There were lions in the reserve. The trekker in front checks for footprints, 粪便等 and gives directions to the driver. Our safari vehicle at Kruger was similar to that, except with a top and no trekker seat.

#6 Baboon with baby on a safari vehicle Kenya. Our safari vehicle in Kenya was similar to that shown. Once a lion got up close within a yard from our vehicle someone was worried that it would jump in. The guide said “never”. Lions appear to be smart and kind of shy, while leopards are very shy and elusive. Another time, a rhino got near our vehicle, and our guide started the engine and was ready to go. Rhinos can easily turn over a small car or damage a big car. Rhinos, buffalos and hippos have 犟牛脾气 and are the most dangerous game on the veldt (草原).

#7 Partial view of Blyde River Canyon, the third deepest canyon in the world. On a side note, the Grand Canyon in the US is the deepest.

#8 Leader of a dance troupe at our hotel by Kruger. His grandpa was 酋长 with a territory the size of a small kingdom there. However, I became interested in his horn that must have come from a big and special antelope.

#9 The African jackass penguin, one of the only three warm water penguin species, at Boulders Beach not far from Cape Town.

#10 跳啦,from Table Mountain 悬崖峭壁 (Cape Town).

#11 African sacred ibis. (#11-16:  on the way from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth.)

#12 Cape weaver. Similar species were seen in Kenya and Costa Rica.

#13 夕阳无限好……

#14 路边的野花不要采,不要采! (at Featherbed Nature Reserve).

#15 Scarlet ibis. (#15-16 at a huge aviary near Knysna.)

#16 Dental hygienist working on a passer-by. I have seen dermatologist and dental hygienist birds working on rhinos, buffalos and hippos before, but not a parrot nor on a human.

Thanks for viewing.
