On a 2nd thought, Ken Rockwell did state some true here:

“Better cameras may make it easier or more pleasant to make photos, much as a better car makes it more pleasant to get someplace. A rusty Ford Pinto or a Prius gets you there just the same as a V-12 Mercedes”

If the driver on the V-12 Mercedes is inconfident, he may get there slower than the rusty Ford Pinto. In this particular case, the photographer behind the 5D is the V-12 mercedes driver.
