好书！ 《我们一家都是人》。。。

一直想不明白这书名，今天看到一个笑话，豁然开朗，原来是《我们都是一家人》意思。。。

MoMA的摄影部主任(chief curator of photography)都很牛X～  
第一任Beaumont Newhall 有个大名鼎鼎的助手，Ansel Adams。1937年举办的展览，《Photography 1839-1937》，基本上是为摄影进入艺术领域做学术铺垫。
第二任就是你介绍的这本书作者，Edward Steichen，他强调摄影要“把人的故事讲给人听”，特别是展览最后以Eugene Smith那张著名的两个孩童手挽手“walk to paradise garden”，把“the family of man”对美好未来的隐喻发挥到了极致。
第三任John Szarkowski，他的《the photographer's eye》，强调不用绘画的观点来看摄影，通过他的介绍我注意到其中一个摄影师，Garry Winogrand，曾经在这里介绍过。

现在MoMA的摄影部主任，Quentin Bajac，法国人，第一个非美国籍主任，2013上任。
有幸在芝加哥听过他一次讲座，他强调现在图片泛滥，博物馆责任是要教育观众的眼睛，好像跟你最近一系列介绍不谋而和～
