Do not take the moral high ground!

It is very disturbing to see so many fellow Chinese took the moral high ground and turned this into a referendum on Liang's character. 

People - if you don't want to petition, or go to the demonstration, or donate money, just do so quietly. Don't find an excuse to justify it! 

Look at how the blacks handle the OJ Simpson case. They supported him even knowing that he was a murderer. 

Do we want to lose by taking the moral high ground? or do we want to win - for ourselves and for our children, by playing fair? 

I will take a win any day. 

Fair is fair - as long as we play by the rules, no matter how much the rules in this society seeming differ from conventional Chinese thinking.
