Officer Peter Liang testified that his academy instruction for CPR gave his class the answers to almost the entire exam.
The lawyer for the mother of Akai Gurley’s child is asking the NYPD inspector general to investigate whether there was inadequate CPR training in the Police Academy based on the sworn testimony at the trial of Officer Peter Liang, the Daily News has learned.
Three cops, including Liang, testified they were unprepared to perform CPR.
“The failure to properly train officers is an absolute detriment to both the police officers and the public,” lawyer Scott Rynecki wrote to the inspector general.
