请教：关于绿卡排期的问题

我未婚夫的父亲在1997年拿到绿卡后为我未婚夫提出绿卡申请。他父亲在去年取得美国公民，现在我未婚夫排在1st preferrence,并已于去年11月递交485表。现在我们咨询律师，希望我们可以结婚，然后将我的申请加入他的申请一起办理。我们知道结婚后他将由1st preferrence变为3rd preferrence。其中一个律师说即使是3rd preferrence, 我未婚夫的排期也到了，应该对他没有太大影响。但是另一个律师让我们在仔细查3rd preferrence的排期。我们在网上看到1st preferrence 排到2000，3rd preferrence排到1997，这个时间是指的什么时间？在I-130的收据上有received date, priority date, notice date, 在485的收据上也有这3个时间。应该按哪个时间来看排期呢？
