在美国期间申请了NIW，140批准后离境，现在加拿大工作，如果想获得美国绿卡，下一步应该怎么办？请指教。

-Two choices:

Choice 1: you need to find a job (get the job offer) in the same/simialr area in US, then file I-824 to USCIS to request consular processing to apply for the immigration visa in Canada, and then wait for the NVC and the US Consulate in Canada to contact you.

Choice 2: just come back to US to file your I-485 directly after you get the job offer, not choose to apply for the immigration visa in Canada. This is the best way for you to get the green card quickly.

Note: the job offer is necessary for you to get the green card.
