回复：I140 PD march 2008 can I file 485 and change job in 180days?

I notice that some people filed 140 and 485 at the same time, even though they have to wait for the PD, but they can change job in 6 months.
-Most of these people filed their I-485 in July to Aug. 2008 when the Priority date was current for all EB categories.

I am NIW, PD 3/2008. My question is that, if I file 485 now while waiting for the PD, am I allowed to do that?
-No. You need to wait for your priority date to be current to file I-485 which may still need 5 years to go.
