急问: 485排期将到, 但将要离开美国, 怎么办?

下月485排期要到, 但由于更换工作, 现在就要离开美国. 原来的H1B要2011年五月到期, 但与现单位4月份雇用关系就结束了. 不知能留在美国等485批吗? 能合法停留等待多长时间? 万分感谢好心人解答!!
