EB3 pending. PD 2006. Worth it to submit a new EB2 petition?

Hi
My EB3 PD is June 2006. I485 was submitted in 2007. Got EAD. Is it worth it to submit a new EB2 petition, which I suppose can be linked to my EB3 case and use the 2006 PD? Looks like now PERM is pretty slow. Would it be much faster to get GC via EB2 vs my old EB3? Thanks!
