One case of my friend:

2001 EB2, stuck in NC
2005 His wife filed another 485, this time the wife is main applicant, her wife got GC in 4 months. He is still in NC until last month. My friend got GC last month after NC cleared.

My personal conclusion is NC have nothing to do with your petition category, EB1/3. Probably your hu*****and can get GC early if you change the main applicant this time
