A question on NIW and EB3 PD?

I filed EB3 in 03/2005(LC approved). I filed NIW in 07/02/2007(with I485). My NIW attorney said my NIW PD could be EB3 PD if my NIW would be approved. Did my attorney tell me right information? Since company sponsored EB3, I had a different attorney for my EB3. Should I still pursue my EB3 after I filed NIW? I only have two master degrees (computer and chemistry) but my NIW attorney said I had a good NIW case (5 articles on journals (>80 citations) and 10 presentations on conference. I was doing health informatics (computer science) now. Professional media reported twice on my informatics projects. I had 5 recommendation letters (1 independent) for my current job (informatics), 1 letter for computer science, 2 letters for chemistry (2 independent). Thank you very much for your help.
