situation, but could imagine that staying put is a huge challenge that one not only needs to overcome the fear that help may not arrive in time if it comes at all in the end, but also the tempation of getting help which could only be around the corner by oneself.

Sadly, in this case, he did not walk out alive and the gamble did not pay off.
