Analysis character from the novel, What yang did really is for herself.
1. Why Yang tried to Keep Zheng in the lab after She dumped zheng and married Zheng's mentor Butterman :It is that butterman and Yang did actually caused very negative impacts on these two special person. No matter in easter culture or wester culture,There is a common criteria on moral: betrayed to family is not accepted. If zheng was fired from the lab, Yang couldnot face the lab members (shame on her) no matter how she tries to argue this issue that has nothing with her, Secondly it also would affect Butterman's carear as she mentioned in the novel.(If Butterman lose job-- why). Eventhough they want to ignore the bad influence but the effects still be there. So Keep Zheng in the lab (as what she said in the novel )for lab, for Butterman , in fact is for herself. Beacuse if the fire influences Butterman career definitly will influence her.
2. Think about the help from the current chapter. Yang just got promotion as assistant of lab manager, It is impossible for her to reach this position accoding to her education and background. Her position dependended on her 2nd marriage and dumped 1st marriage. Actually It is that zheng helped Butterman and lab solve the difficult prolem and save butterman research funding and time and also give Yang a chance to show off to the lab as her new position. If just follow the suggestion of butterman for the experiment, The project will be stucked, It need make a lot efforts to solve the problem. It is Zheng's contribution to this project. Why Yang accept zheng's suggestion on the EXP that means she knew her EX ability. So The excuse for Yang dumped Zheng 1st marrige for her more atrative 2 nd marriage is not rational.
Young got the biggest benefit from this , Even though I would contend Zheng also showed his ability in the lab. But Yang definitly calculated she is the biggest winner on this issue.
