Plus 孟建峰 used to treat Yue so badly and he already dated many young girls/ladies, even aked a girl to marry him. Now he turned back to Yue, just due to his bad luck of finding a lady as good as Yue. He pursued Yue again because he realized Yue was more useful to him not because he treasured and cared about Yue. This is just what I got from reading the story. :-(
