you are very much on your own as help is far and difficult. If it's a rental car you are driving, you'd be violating rental car contract. Rental cars rented in AK also have high mileage and are older than those in lower 48. I am about to make my 6th trip to Alaska and of the previous 5 trips, I had rental problems twice already.
Frankly, I don't recommend going to the Arctic circle area unless: 1. you want to claim the medal of having been to 北极圈 or 2. you run out of places to see in other areas of Alaska, which I seriously doubt... This may sound direct and blunt, but it is what I think.
