Draw PQ parallel to BC, to arrive at a new parallelogram PBCQ. Let a=CD/CQ; b=DQ/CQ. So, a+b=1
Half area of PBCQ=(11+7)/a^2=8/b^2. So a/b=3/2
So, a=3/5, b=2/5
Area BFGC=(8/b^2)-8=50-8=42
Area ABCD=11+8+42=60
