1942年5月14日浙赣会战期间，日军731部队发动了人类有史以来最大规模的细菌战

侵华日军为摧毁中国浙江、江西地区的空军机场，打击国军第三战区主力发动浙赣会战，在衢州、丽水等地大量撒播鼠疫、炭疽、霍乱、伤寒、副伤寒等细菌。造成约25万中国军民死亡。
