1. You assume that if you get a MS or PhD "from the top engineering schools at USA," you are guaranteed a high paying job (i.e. over $100k).
2. You assume that you will get a job position corresponding to your degree and experience. In the real world, there is a hiring practice called "low-balling."
3. You assume that if you and your spouse both have such academic background and experience, you both will get jobs over $100k.
Of course you can continue to claim that all your assumptions are true. But it is important to separate the factual statistical data from your personal assumption-laden conclusion.
Your conclusion depends on too many unwarranted assumptions:
