有些同学想利用和父母出境美国去cuise的机会，以期在回来的时候，可以重新得到6个月的合法居留。现在，这个办法行不通了。

根据美国海关，USCIS，和国安部的规定，凡是乘飞机，或乘船去加拿大，墨西哥，和加勒彼海岛国，包括：巴哈马，洪都拉斯，牙买加，等，的旅客，在旅行结束，入境美国的时候，不能重新获得新的6个月的合法停留期。出境前所持I-94卡的合法停留期将保持不变。

但是，如果去其它国家，如欧洲国家等，可能在再入境时获得新的6个月合法居留期。但是，在这种情况下，对再入境旅客的资格审查将极为严格。
