He was probably already stressed/depressed over the investment loss. The firing（ｍａｙ　ｂｅ　ｉｎｊｕｓｔｉｃｅ　ａｎｄ　ｍｉｓｈａｎｄｌｉｎｇ） might have pushed him over the edge.
