it's like speaking mandarin
when i speak to someone from taiwan, i automatically speak with a taiwanese accent;
when i speak to someone from beijing, i'd even use some 'er' sound
when i speak to someone from my hometown, i speak with ping she yin only.
when i speak to those americans studying chinese whose chinese' not too good yet, i suddenly start talking with broken chinese.
i think subcontiously you speak like the person u r in a conversation with. that's how nice ppl to each other. hoho...
of course i can. but look who i'm talking to, haha
