Her SAT score can get her past the first round of most schools. After that, SAT score isn't really much of a factor. It's important to be well-rounded. If she got a sport that she excels at, she should keep working on it. Schools give a lot, A LOT, of slack for atheletes. A good essay is important as well. You need one that catches the eye of the admission officers. After all, when you read 200 a day, they all tend to blend together. Trust me, I worked in an admissions office before.
