Why Jews are rich?

As new immigrants, it takes a few generations to become really rich, besides hardworking and being smart.
Unlike Asian, Jews seem to jump to the high class level easily and quickly. A lot of them went to the big industries such as real estate, investment... right after they landed US. I do not think they r more smart than Chinese, but...
Where did they get that huge strating money? Jews told me that they lost almost everything during the World War 2, but how come, they had that much $$ to start? This is the key for their success!
