For those who have dreamed of living in their own snug hobbit hole, they don't need to travel to Middle Earth to make the dream a reality.
Instead of getting out the shovel and building your own habitable hole in the hillside, you can now simply order a ready-made one and tailor it to your exact specification as a year-round home or a place to retreat for a holiday.
Similar to their movie counterparts, the tiny eco-friendly houses by Green Magic Homes are similarly designed to exist under layer of grass and soil - perfect for growing vegetables and feeling at one with nature - and come with pools or hot tubs.
A Florida company is allowing fans of the Hobbit the chance to live in a ready-made home inspired by the J.R.R. Tolkien fantasy series
The homes are chic and modern with an open-plan kitchen, flat-screen TVs and a natural covering providing insulation to retain heat
Luxury living: The hobbit holes in the Shire didn't come with the glamorous extras that these dwellings have, including pools and hot tubs
Forget primitive living and huddling for warmth in winter however, these homes are chic and modern with the natural covering providing insulation to retain heat.
Renderings from the Florida company even show TVs mounted on the walls, and hot tubs and loungers on the outside patio area.
The best bit about the Shire-like dwellings is they can be bought and assembled in less than three days, if you opt for the 400-square-foot Wikiki bedsit option.
Capable of housing a small kitchen, lounge and dining room, the pod could be used a man cave, guest house or even studio space.
There are larger designs available too, from large modular three bedroom pads to separate pods housing gyms and offices.
Similar to the fictional homes in the Hobbit series, the eco-friendly houses from Green Magic Homes are built under a layer of soil
Built from prefabricated shells made from fibre-reinforced polymer, the homes are waterproof and designed to withstand strong winds
Under normal conditions, they can withstand an earthquake with a magnitude of 10 on the Richter scale, with the pods flexible enough to also be placed in a desert or snowy landscape depending on where you live, the designers saidThankfully your little slice of paradise need not cost the earth, with prices for the Wikiki pad beginning at just $14,998, with larger designs based on a price of $34.74per square foot.
With a small kitchen, lounge and dining room, the pod could be used a man cave, guest house, studio space or a holiday retreat
Designed to withstand the elements in any setting, the unique pods can be placed in a desert or snowy landscape at altitude
According to the designers, the sheltered pods can 'easily' withstand an earthquake with a magnitude of 10 on the Richter scale
The Florida company said a one-bedroom cabin may take three days to assemble while a three-bedroom house can take up to six days
Renderings show covered parking stalls for cars, pools, hot tubs, sunloungers on the patio and flat screen TVs mounted on the wall
In addition to plants and vegetables, owners can plant trees of moderate size with non-invasive roots, said Green Magic Homes
Blending in: The covering for the roof and exterior walls can be adapted to suit a range of different environments, including a desert
There are also separate pods available that are perfect for housing gyms or a small office or a garage or work studio
Prices for the Wikiki pad start at just $14,998, with larger designs based on a price of $34.74 per square foot
