有人有ups lost package claim的经历吗？

前两个星期网购了一批东西做圣诞礼物，因为刚搬家， 而scheduled delivery date又不在新家那边，所以给ups打电话要求hold packages, 昨天一切妥当后给ups打电话要求deliver, 被告知所有的package都已经drop off at porch. 但是我们是什么都没收到。ups建议给商家打电话，file claim。

有人经历过这个么？claim要多长时间？如果ups坚持说已经送到，我们要不要报警？新房在新的小区，满共就两三家住户，还有四个房子在建。要是被偷了，多郁闷，还要在这个小区住下去呢。
