The steeper the roof, the better.  But it's agrd for roofers to replace roof.

Only a small part of the front yard (don't remember how many feet from curb) is public since there are all buried cables, gas pipes, water pipes, ect. and they belong to public.  Sometime they need to dig for maintenence and repair,
