少打仗 cut defence may not get good result as you want

Big defence budget, part of goes to defence contractors(private), the rest of goes to goverment empolyment-----recruitment of army,navy... all the bases, military academy...

 Cut defence will stop some waste, like Dick Cheny's Co rip off during the war, but it will increase the unemployment at least in short term because of large scale layoff. Plus, US interest overseas may have adverse consequence, so the net gain is unknown
