HP tech support told me that the GPS capability is embedded in the Atom microprocessor from Intel.  What they couldn't tell me is what serial port was used by the GPS.  So I sat down and started thumbing through the COMn settings, one at a time.  When I hit COM4, the little boat in my marine navigation software suddenly shifted to my location on the Choptank River, off the Chesapeake Bay in  Maryland.   SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
