纽约和D.C.住宿交通请教

要带老人(60+)和小孩(一个15个月, 一个4岁)纽约和D.C.玩6.5天. 请熟悉的人帮助看看怎么安排合理些?

Arrival airport is Newark. Should we stay in Jersey City or Flushing? What would be the most convenient transportation from 纽约 to D.C.?
