MSFT maynot be the best vehicle for your retirement fund. CD's return is guaranteed, but the dividends from MSFT or any other companies are not. As a whole, MSFT will be losing business down the road as more people move away from traditional pc to tablets. you may argue that windows 7 has been used in HP slate, but we all know that Android would be the only dominant gorilla in the future in the tablet market...
