歌曲 What is like -- Everlast (附歌词)

在我初到美国的那一年，收音机里总放这首歌，旋律给我留下了很深的印象。但是除了个别词句以外，我一点也不明白歌词里说的是什么。偶然我的一个美国朋友说她喜欢这个歌，我就问她歌词里讲的什么，她居然说她也听不大明白。呵呵，大概跟我听周杰伦的感觉有点象吧。

后来过了很久我又在广播里听到它，这一次多听懂了几句。我就去查了一下歌词，原来讲的是“同理心”的道理。歌词里讲述了无家可归的乞丐，未婚先孕的少女，以及街头混混家人的命运和苦衷，并反复吟唱，如果你想理解和判断一个人，先穿着他/她的鞋子走一英里。

中间我最喜欢的一段说： “我见到过富人乞求；我见到过好人犯错；我见到过硬汉哭泣；我见到过弱者胜利；我见到过悲哀的人微笑，也见到过诚实的人撒慌。我看到过邪恶中的美好，积极中的消极，和这之间的一切。”

在人的儿童时代，世界好象是黑白分明的，但成年以后就知道现实其实复杂得多。这是一首给成年人的歌。
