before a thousand eyes
yet, one pair so mystic
eases me with surprise

a thousand ears hear
only two listen
a thousand eyes stare
only two glisten

no soul so true
no heart so pure
no mind so keen
no smile so real

o, what is her name?
she's kindled a flame
