I've recently listened to the audios of a DVD recording from the pronounciation training program by Paul Gruber (http://www.pronunciationworkshop.com/)
Two points stood out in my mind, one is the pronunciaiton of the word "been", the other is the pronunciation of sound "L".
"Been" should be sounded as /bin/ based on Paul and it seems like this from the dictionary, but I thought that it was sounded as /bi:n/。 What do you think this word should be labled, /bin/ or /bi:n/ ?
For the sound of "l" at the end of a word, the pronuncition manner is the same as when sounding "l" at the beginning of a word, but rise up the tip of the tongue and put behind your top teeth, the mouth(lips) positions remain unchanged.
Manner when sounding "l" at the beginning of a word:
Mouth should be wide open;
Jaw should be down.
Tongue should rise up and push behind your top teeth.
